For their high-temperature oxidation and corrosion resitance iron aluminides are potential candidates as structural materials at elevated temperature. Addition of a small amount of Zr leads to formation of τ1 and/or Laves phase which increase high temperature strength. In the present work the effect of Zr addition on the oxidation behaviour at 900 °C was investigated.
