Employees are the most important factor in terms of the competitiveness of companies. Companies that are aware of this do not save and they devote more funds on human resources, in the form of motivational measures, to strengthen job satisfaction and maximum performance of their employees, than companies that still deny the role of quality and motivated employees and put them on the level of other factors of production. However, human resources also frequently represent one of the largest expenses, and even companies making maximum effort in the area of loyalty of their employees are constantly looking for ways how to make the most of their paid labour force, especially in the event of the threat of idle time, which can have various causes. The article presents these causes and the tools for an efficient utilization of the resulting time reserves in the working time fund.
